Wally G2

Wally passed away suddenly in Bakersfield, California while vacationing with his wife Donna. He was brought home after being cremated in California.

Wally was a wonderfull friend, and tireless worker; he was the first fire fighter hired in West Vancouver and has loved the F.D. and fire trucks ever since. It is a very sad time for all of us.

Wally Galpin

Galpin Memorial Service

The large turnout of active and retired firefighters at his memorial service was a testimony to his revered status in the community. Although Wally retired in 1982, his days as a firefighter did not officially end until April 17, 2010.
