Glen was born in North Vancouver and received is education at Holyburn school and West Van High in West Vancouver. Glen worked with is father TP Excavation and as a Volunteer firefighter before he joined the permanent force in 1965. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 1972, Captain, 1965 and District Chief in 1989. He retired in 1998. Glen died in Lionsgate Hospital after suffering a stroke. He leaves behind his wife Carol, daughter Lisa, son in-law Bill, grandson Glen.
Firefighter Doug Johnson
Doug was born in Vancouver and went to school at West Van High in West Vancouver. He joined the West Vancouver Fire Dept in 1970 and resigned in 1975. After leaving the Dept, he worked in the trade of carpentry. Doug was passionate about family, cars, local history. Doug died of heart failure. He will be missed by is son Jeremy.

Deputy Chief Gerry McDowell
Gerry was born in Vancouver and went to school in Vancouver and later the family moved to West Vancouver where he attended West Van High. He worked with the ferries, fisheries, and raiways until 1953 where he joined the District of West Vancouver Engineering Dept. From there, in 1955 began is thirty-seven year career with the West Vancouver Fire Dept, having reach the rank of Deputy Fire Chief. He retired in 1992. He preceded in death by his beloved Florence, and will be missed by his daughter Coleen and son Kerry.
